I am a voice actor. People ask me..."what"
I do voices for all sorts of media.
In over 25 years of radio, I have received 90-someting ADDY awards, Kansas Assn. of Broadcasters awards, Best of Show, Best Radio Producer and Best Radio Recording Engineer awards.
As well as being the talent and producer on my work, on many occasions, I have also been the writer.
I have worked in many radio formats; Active Rock, Classic Rock, Country, A/C, even Easy Listening, & Oldies and I am comfortable using my abilities in any of those formats.
I also have several credits as a music producer and engineer--on my own material and the works of others.
The genres vary from Rock, Country, New Age, Contemporary Christian, to Ballet and more.
Not only that, I am a professional musician.
My band (which also includes my lovely wife) and I played 2 shows of Buddy Holly music with the star of the Buddy Holly Story-Gary Busey.
We have also opened shows for Pat Benetar, Blue Oyster Cult, Sammy Hagar, Starship, Foghat, Robin Trower, Sugar Ray, The Smithereens, and a couple of others that escape me.
I obviously have no problems in the "look at me" business.
A few years ago, I became fairly disabled; I could no longer play guitar...so I relegated myself to singer, engineer and producer.
Now voice over work and production is how I pay the bills. I figured-I've been doing this most of my life. And I really enjoy it.
I also do writing if you need that.
That said, I've been known to eat lunch over the sink on more than one occasion...
